1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Megaverse Live (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Service Description

Megaverse Live is a platform that facilitates 1:1 live mentoring sessions between mentees and experienced mentors. Services include:

• Backend Interview Prep (System Design, HLD/LLD, Mock Interviews)
• English Coaching (IELTS, General English, Speaking, Writing, Grammar)
• Real-time video/audio sessions with mentors
• Booking management and scheduling
• Session reminders and communication

3. User Eligibility

By using this Platform, you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the authority to enter into this agreement
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information
• You will comply with all applicable laws

4. Booking and Payment

4.1 Pricing

Standard Session Price: ₹1,200 per session

Sessions are typically 60 minutes. Session duration may vary. Payment is required at the time of booking.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept payments through:

• Razorpay (Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, Wallets, Net Banking)
• PayPal (for international users)

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by our payment partners. A booking confirmation email will be sent immediately after successful payment. Your transaction is only complete once payment is confirmed.

4.4 Failed Payments

If your payment fails, the booking will not be confirmed. You can retry payment, and the booking slot will be held for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the slot may be released.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Mentee Cancellations

• More than 24 hours before session: Full refund (100%)
• 6-24 hours before session: 50% refund
• Less than 6 hours before session: No refund (₹0)

5.2 Mentor Cancellations

If a mentor cancels, you will receive a full refund and will be offered an alternative time slot or a full refund at your choice.

5.3 How to Cancel

Log in to your account, go to "My Bookings," and click "Cancel" on your session. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

5.4 No-Show Policy

If you do not join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, it will be marked as a "No-Show" and no refund will be issued. The session slot cannot be rescheduled.

6. Session Policies

6.1 Session Conduct

All sessions must be conducted professionally and respectfully. The following are prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse, or discrimination
• Sharing of explicit or illegal content
• Recording without consent (violations may result in legal action)
• Unauthorized recording or sharing of sessions
• Attempting to solicit services outside the platform

6.2 Technical Requirements

You are responsible for:

• Having a reliable internet connection
• Using a compatible device (computer, tablet, or smartphone)
• Ensuring a quiet environment for the session
• Testing your audio and video before the session

6.3 Session Availability

Mentors' availability varies. You can only book available time slots shown on the platform. We make no guarantee of specific mentor availability.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, materials, and services on the Platform (website design, features, text, videos) are owned by Megaverse Live or its licensors and are protected by copyright laws.

You may use the Platform for personal purposes only. Reproduction, modification, or distribution of Platform content without permission is prohibited.

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Maintain confidentiality of your password
• Not engage in unauthorized access or hacking
• Not transmit malware or harmful code
• Not spam or harass other users
• Comply with all applicable laws

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Platform is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the session
• We are not responsible for mentor performance or session outcomes
• We are not responsible for technical issues, internet outages, or device failures

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Megaverse Live and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or costs arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable laws
• Content you provide or transmit

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in harassment, abuse, or illegal behavior
• Attempt to defraud the Platform
• Repeat no-show cancellations
• Violate payment obligations

Suspended accounts will not receive refunds for future bookings unless the suspension is due to our error.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

13. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal action, you agree to attempt resolution through:

• Contacting us at hello@megaverselive.com
• Providing a detailed explanation of the dispute
• Attempting good-faith negotiation for 30 days

If resolution is not achieved, disputes may be escalated to arbitration or court proceedings as per Indian law.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
